The PLUS system (FET circuit) provides high safety and improved trigger response during semi-automatic firing. Based on the standard type electric replica "SIG552 Shields", the "SG553 Plus" has been upgraded both inside and out to a higher level of operability.

  • Equipped with FET: Equipped with a switch that combines mechanical and FET which improves the response from pulling the trigger to firing the BB.
  • PLUS system: This system not only controls the rotation of the motor, but also detects any damage or abnormality in each part and stops operation, making it a safe system.
  • Increased rigidity: Reinforced resin is used for the handguard and upper/lower receiver, providing increased rigidity compared to conventional resin parts.
  • Equipped with 20mm wide picatinny rails allowing various optional parts compatible to be attached.
  • Flip-up Sight.
  • The receiver, stock, grip, handguard, etc. are painted black with a low gloss finish, giving the gun a more textured and solid feel.
  • Compatible with various muzzle options (14mm CCW).
  • 40-rds magazine with a new improved follower

Tokyo Marui Co. Ltd is an airsoft gun and toy cars manufacturer located in Adachi, Tokyo, Japan that produced the AEG. The guns are principally sold in Japan, but are also sold worldwide. They were the first company to produce airsoft guns powered solely by electric-motor driven air compressors, which they called "Automatic Electric Gun" (AEG) in 1992. This compact air compressing system was implemented in their first battery-powered automatic firing replica, the FAMAS F1. Other airsoft guns were then introduced. The AEG system is still in use, and has been copied numerous times through the years by many other airsoft gun manufacturers. Marui is among others the inventor of the AEG and the Hop-Up system.
