The Barrett M82 is a semi-automatic anti-materiel rifle used by the U.S. Army since 1989, as well as by many units and armed forces around the world. It is also known as the M107 within the U.S. Army, or “Light Fifty” due to its .50 BMG caliber. This AEG version is a faithful interpretation of this legendary rifle. It is manufactured by Snow Wolf under Barrett license, in cooperation with 6mm Pro Shop. The model features all original engraved markings.
Such an iconic rifle requires a solid construction, which is why this model is made almost entirely of metal (including steel). The only components made of high-quality plastic are the pistol grip. The body, RIS rail, barrel shroud, bipod, magazine, and carrying handle are made of metal, while the butt pad is made of rubber to enhance user comfort.
On top of the rifle, there is a 22 mm Picatinny rail allowing the mounting of various optical sights. The model is also supplied with a carrying handle featuring a RIS mount, making it convenient for transporting this massive rifle. Inside, a standard V2 gearbox is installed, equipped with a quick-change spring system. The steel gears are mounted on bearings capable of withstanding high loads. A major advantage of this gearbox is its compatibility with most parts available on the market, allowing for numerous configurations and a wide range of tuning possibilities.
