In the real steel world, the Close Quarters Battle Receiver (CQBR) is a replacement upper receiver for the M4A1 Carbine. The CQBR replaces the M4 with a 10.3 inch barrel making it the modern equivalent of the Colt Commando short-barrel M16 variants of the past. The CQBR entered American armed forces service in 2000, the complete CQBR equipped carbine has been type-classified as the Mk 18 Mod 0.
The purpose of the Mk 18 Mod 0 is to provide operators with a weapon of submachine gun size, but firing a rifle cartridge, for scenarios such as VIP protection, urban warfare, and other close quarters battle (CQB) situations. In Airsoft terms, the shorter, more compact layout allows you to make use of the full advantages of the M4s choice of accessories, magazines and modifications in package to rival sub-machine guns in agility.
With the exception of the polymer pistol grip and telescopic adjustable crane stock, the all metal weapon makes use of high grade Aluminium and steel for a combination of strength and weight, a balance of controllable mass and durability whilst all coated in high wear resistant finishing treatment.
VFC internals are a promise of benchmark standards; the degree of quality, reliability and performance that set the trend for AEGs to follow. Good clean, solid performance you can count on and if that's still not enough they are highly compatible so you can talk to our engineers about jazzing up those parts to greater heights of power and rate of fire.
The 10 inch RAS conceals the 11.5 inch outer barrel giving this CQB length short rifle an aggressively stout profile. Rails on four sides with the full length on top leave more then ample accessory attachment potential for even the most thirsty tactical option rich operators. It even comes with a vertical rail grip.
Same as the longer one, it sports a flip up front sight that hides itself as part of the rail system when not in use. This hefty rifle uses the Version 2 gearbox, has a muzzle velocity of around 340 fps, and is constructed with metal and sturdy ABS plastics.
Take lipo batteries, both 7.4v and 11.1v would be fine, with a mini tamiya connector.
