Maxim 9 is an officially licensed gas gun replica, manufactured by Krytac. The real firearm was developed and manufactured by SilencerCo, an American company founded in 2008 in West Valley City, Utah. The company specializes in the production of high-quality firearm silencers. It also provides legal advice to its clients for obtaining the approval of silencers. SilencerCo's extensive experience, gained over the years in the manufacture of silencers, has been used to develop a rare type of firearm. The final product, the Maxim 9, is currently the only full-suppression handgun available on the market. It is also one of the few firearms designed with an integrated suppressor that is adjustable in length and performance. To solve the age old problem of the weight and size of silenced firearms, the research and development team used a clever solution and designed a modular device that is noticeably shorter and lighter.The soundproofing baffles are refined and integrated into interchangeable modules. Maxim 9 in short configuration helps dampen the sound of subsonic ammunition to a safe hearing level. In full configuration, the same effect applies to all cartridges.

The Airsoft Maxim 9, just like its genuine counterpart, is precision crafted using high quality materials and components. The frame is injection molded from reinforced polymers - the textured surface ensures sufficient and firm grip. The widened trigger guard allows comfortable use with tactical or insulated gloves. The muffler baffles and slider were CNC machined from black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. It also uses optical cutting and is compatible with the Krytac Multi-footprint plate for RMR, RMRcc, and RMS plates (sold separately).

The materials chosen offer high resistance to scratches and external damage and guarantee long-lasting and reliable operation of the internal mechanisms. It should be added that the Maxim 9 accepts green gas and CO2 magazines without any modification. This set comes with a single 24 round magazine for green gas. Another feature is the fire selector hidden in the back of the slide, which allows the use of single or automatic firing modes. The gun is fully ambidextrous and comfortable for both left and right handed users. The modular muffler section mimics the sound dampening effect. It is machined to fit the Acetech BiFrost plotter with an extension kit (sold separately). For this purpose, a fixed, threaded inner barrel is installed to allow attachment of the tracing module.
