The RWA Nighthawk Custom BDS9 incorporates many of the aesthetic features of its full-steel counterpart, from its thick, triple-grooved receiver to the weight-relief grooves, although there are some notable differences to be expected. The RWA BDS9 is equipped with raised sights featuring a scope-compatible plate and a fiber-optic insert at the front, allowing users to mount any scope of their choice as long as it falls into the RMR, RMSc, or K, while facilitating quick sight alignment thanks to its blackened rear sight contrasting with the red fiber optic at the front. On top, the front and rear grooves on the slide ensure a secure grip when cocking the slide and facilitate essential operations, such as clearing a jam or disassembly for easy maintenance.Â
The RWA BDS9 also features a threaded outer barrel and a threaded muzzle cap, making it easy to attach tracers or silencers. It is also equipped with a responsive and comfortable flat trigger, which offers a very smooth and precise trigger pull.
The strength of the RWA BDS9 lies in the fact that its internal components are manufactured to Tokyo Marui’s proven specifications, meaning that most standard parts from Tokyo Marui’s Hi-Capa are compatible.
