Backdraft Innovations Engine: A finely engineered pneumatic cylinder that uses High-Pressure Air to propel a 6mm BB. If AEG is the system we all understand as the standard for general airsoft use, and gas blow back is the platform for realistic noise and feel – HPA is the platform for sheer performance. We believe that the performance gained by HPA makes it the best option for competitive players, those who want every advantage on the field. Backdraft Innovations have fast become a major player, with their engines surpassing all expectations. Fully HPA driven system delivers ultra-consistent shot-to-shot performance and near-instant trigger response. No motor, no gearbox, no battery drain issues.
Wide PSI operating window (roughly 40–130 psi) and capable of 40+ rounds per second in optimised setups.
Durable Hybrid Build: Meticulously crafted with a metal chassis, metal barrel, high-strength polymer stock, pistol grip and magazine — combining rugged durability with weight-balanced handling.
Advanced Fire Control: Integrated electronics support multiple firing modes (safe / semi / burst / full-auto) with ultra-tight trigger response courtesy of the HPA system from Backdraft Innovations. Fully controllable via the "Backdraft Control" phone app available for both Android and iOS. Note the FCU password for all ASG models is set to: 123456 out of the box.
Premium Ergonomics & Modularity:
- Adjustable buttstock (length of pull) for comfort across body-types
- ASG custom M-Rail handguard and full Picatinny/M-LOK compatibility for tactical attachments
- PTS EPG-C style pistol grip for superior control
- Retro-Arms style trigger unit for crisp feedback, the premium trigger feel many users already praised in the AEG version.
HPA internals: The design accommodates HPA plumbing, quick-release regulator fitting, our QD connector is fixed into the grip plate offering a solid solution greatly reducing the potential for damage to the IGL (in-grip line). We’ve optimized the air-flow path for reliability even under heavy use.
Trigger response: With virtually zero complication from “wind up time” HPA delivers a connected feeling to the gun like no other. Think of each trigger pull as simply releasing the compressed air to propel the BB, Vs an AEG trigger actuating an ETU, that activates a gearbox, that in turn pulls back and releases a piston etc
Ready for Customisation: The system is built to take aftermarket hop-up tuning, enhanced barrels, and custom air-line/regulator setups — perfect for players who want to push performance or build a field-tuned DMR style platform.
Delivered ready to play: Supplied as standard in a rigid ASG polymer case for secure transport and immediate use on the field.
