ARO EVO, or Advanced Rifle Optics EVOlved, is a new compact red/green dot sight designed and manufactured by Holosun.
The device offers a new SPR (Special Purpose Reticle) with bullet drop compensation, a Lower 1/3 Co-Witness mount, multiple brightness settings, and a solar panel with an automatic shut-off system to save energy.
CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a matte anodized finish, the ARO EVO weighs 170 g and measures 73 x 42 x 68 mm. It is also IPX8 certified, making it dustproof and waterproof. Its durable and rugged construction protects the sight from drops and kinetic impacts up to 1000 g. The 26 mm lens is coated with a multi-layer anti-scratch coating with anti-reflective properties. A 2 MOA red dot and a bullet drop reticle with 1/2 MOA adjustment per click are available. The LED emitter offers four NV modes and eight brightness levels. With no parallax, unlimited eye relief, and a 50 MOA adjustment range in windage and elevation, the ARO EVO ensures fast and accurate target acquisition at intermediate ranges, regardless of weather and light conditions.
Power is supplied by a single CR2032 battery housed in a screw-down compartment, giving it a battery life of 50,000 hours at medium brightness. It also features rubberized controls and a “Shake Awake” system that saves battery power. The additional solar panel on the top and the “Solar Failsafe” system amplify the brightness settings. The system turns off the sight after a certain amount of time, and a slight movement is all it takes to reactivate it.
The set includes a low mount, a 1/3 Co-Witness mount, a cleaning cloth, and an installation kit with keys.
