The TubeRA replaces the standard handguard while also functioning as a suppressor. Made from 7075 duralumin and reinforced with carbon fiber elements, it combines lightweight construction with robust strength for a durable and reliable setup.
The kit includes two types of inserts:
- Acoustic inserts to reduce noise;
- Centering inserts (x2) to stabilize the inner barrel.
These inserts are modular, allowing combinations according to the inner barrel length and player preference.
Inside the main body ① is a hop-up chamber pressure mechanism. The pressure is adjusted via a wedge clamp system operated by two adjustment screws ⑦: tightening them pushes the chamber against the gearbox through a pressure ring, preventing chamber bounce and minimizing air leaks between the nozzle and Hop Up bucking.
The stop ring ⑥, machined from C45 steel and heat-treated, maintains its shape under screw pressure. The pressure crown is then secured laterally with two screws (⑧) to prevent movement during handling.
To protect the chamber from impacts and prevent damage to the bucking, an O-ring ⑪ (8.5 × 2 mm, 70 ShA) must be installed at the front of the hop-up chamber. On the RetroArms AR15 chamber (ref. 6388), this O-ring is required; this model uses a collar nut (ref. 6778) with an extended front surface to prevent the O-ring from being cut.
The TubeRA features three M2.5 threads around its perimeter for the positioning screws ⑨ (all three screws are used on AR15 RetroArms bodies).
Compatibility: Hop Up chamber dimensions vary between manufacturers. It may be necessary to measure and add an extra O-ring to achieve perfect support — optimal Hop Up pressure is therefore not guaranteed straight out of the box. The indexing fins are designed to be compatible with RetroArms Hop Up chambers; compatibility with other brands is not assured.
Recommended Assembly:
- Pre-adjust the adjustment screws ⑦ before installation.
- Hold the main body ① against the gearbox.
- Gradually tighten the ⑦ screws until the Hop Up chamber is firmly secured (no play, airtight around the nozzle).
- Screw in the rest of the TubeRA and secure the pressure crown with ⑧ screws.
- Install the O-ring ⑪ (8.5 × 2 mm), ensuring it is not pinched under the collar nut (if present).
