Description

The Magpul ACS (Adaptable Carbine/Storage) – Commercial-Spec Model is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR15/M4 carbines using commercial-spec sized receiver extension tubes. Dual, rear accessible, water-resistant battery storage tubes and an integral storage compartment in the butt of the stock provides multiple storage options.
Similar to the Magpul CTR®, the ACS also features an anti-snag release latch to prevent accidental activation along with a supplemental friction lock system that minimizes excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy*. The ACS comes standard with a 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.
Mounts on commercial-spec sized carbine receiver extension tube (not included) from manufacturers such as Bushmaster, DPMS, Olympic, and others (please see the note below)

Sloping cheek weld provides a wide contact surface for user comfort
Two water-resistant battery storage tubes located on the left and right sides of the stock
Each tube will store up to three CR123 lithium or two AA batteries
Tubes are accessible from the rear via a tethered, hand-removable rubber plug
Storage compartment in tail of stock with positive latching access door on right hand side

M4 stock tube diameter

To find out if the stock or the stock tube will be compatible with your replica, you can check the diameter of the stock tube to determine if it is MILSPEC or COMSPEC. For M4 AEGs, as a general rule stock tubes and stocks from Tokyo Marui - VFC - G&G and clone "M4 AEG" will be closer to mil-spec size. For the M4 GBB and AR15 beware it often happens that the tubes are bigger so measure the diameter of your tube carefully before ordering. At Magpul, for example, all sticks are sorted MILSPEC or COMSPEC which makes your job easier! Obviously the manufacturers all have more or less their own rating and it is unfortunately impossible for us to promise you that you will have the stock never moving on the stock tube !
